How to play
Buzzword bingo is a game you play during a meeting, conference call, or any event where people tend to reach for the same tired phrases. The goal: be the first to get five in a row.
The basics
- Pick a game that fits your event — Corporate Jargon for a company all-hands, Startup Pitch for a pitch competition, or any other category that fits.
- Each player gets a unique 5×5 card filled with buzzwords and phrases. Hit New card at any time to shuffle a fresh one.
- As the event unfolds, listen for the phrases on your card. When you hear one, click or tap its square to mark it off.
- Get five in a row— across, down, or diagonally — and you've won. Shout BINGO!(or your game's custom exclamation) to claim victory.
Tips
- The FREE square in the center is already marked — it counts toward any row, column, or diagonal through the middle.
- Every card is randomly shuffled, so no two players have the same layout. That makes it a fair race even when everyone's playing the same game.
- You can play solo for fun, or compete with friends in the same room — just open the same game on each device and compare cards.
- Don't have a game for your event? Create your own with your own word list.
